An Update on Achieving Goals, New Things and a New Place to Find Them

Hello, hello. It's time for an update:

Achieving Goals:
At age 19, I finally got over my fear of driving and got my driver's license. Hooray! Once I finally got behind the wheel and got going, I realized how silly I had been. Sure, driving has it's scary moments, but it's not the huge terror fest I had made in my mind just thinking about it. I'm glad I finally got over it and soon will no longer have to rely on others to get me where I need to go. Sweet, sweet new independence.
I also achieved a new minigoal for my Etsy shop: This month I finally made my 25th sale! Now, on to

New Things:
First we have Green and Silver Aura Chainmaille Pendant Necklace. A triangular unit made of silver and green anodized aluminum makes up this unique chainmaille pendant. The pendant hangs from a black vinyl coated stainless steel necklace. The pendant is removable if you prefer to put it on a chain you already own. I can't wait to make this pendant in many colors (I'm thinking a yellow version and a blue version are next in line)!

Next up is a new pair of earrings: Red Scale Chainmaille Earrings. Vibrant red anodized aluminum scales are woven by hand and connected to solid sterling silver earwires to make up this pair of gorgeous chainmaille earrings. Lightweight, dangly, and fun: what's not to love?

And now for the New Place:
I've recently opened a store on Cargoh.com. What is Cargoh you ask? (Taken from the site:)
"Cargoh is a place where artists, musicians, designers, and other miscellaneous creative types can be seen, heard, and collected in one community driven marketplace. We’re all of this and more, wrapped up in a user-friendly, inexpensive solution to marketing and selling goods online. Share the Cargoh love!"

So how about you? Get over any fears lately? Reach a long term/short term goal? I want to know about it!

An Update

Hello. It's been a while since I posted, but now I'm back! I'll start with a shop update.

Quite a few new things are going on at Janabolic. Recently added is the Red and Black Stretchy Byzantine Bracelet . It's made from red anodized aluminum rings and black rubber rings, making it stretchy and super comfortable!

Also new is the Fade to Black Bracelet . Silver fades to turquoise, turquoise fades to blue, and blue fades to black in this unique chainmaille bracelet. These are just a few of the many things recently added to my shop.

Also, I'm having a Christmas in July sale! Now through July 25, all earrings and key chains are 10% off. Necklaces, Pendants, and Bracelets are 15% off! All prices have been changed to reflect the sale price. Orders over $65.00 (not including shipping) will receive free shipping! See my Shop Announcement for more details.

That's all for now!

Cereal Killer

Today I woke up and thought, "I think I'll start my day with a delicious, colorful bowl of Trix Cereal." I got my bowl out, poured the cereal, set my spoon in, and walked to the fridge to get what would make this breakfast complete: milk. Guess what? There wasn't any milk. No big deal, I thought to myself, and grabbed an apple instead. I walked over to the sink to wash the apple off and found what you are now looking at over to the left: the biggest bowl of cereal I have ever seen in my life. Milk to the very top of the bowl, fruity spheres of yumminess floating around in the top, spoon set in the bowl, like it was ready to be eaten. Someone had made this cereal, finishing off the milk, and just set it in the sink and left. GRRR. That should have been my bowl of cereal. I would have treated it much better. So that is what inspired this weeks treasury. Features include: Scrabble Tile Pendant- Vintage Cereal by TKIDesigns, Cereal ( serial ) killer ceramic crockery bowl by lipstattoo, A Cheery Bowl of Cereal Fun Food Soap by ajsweetsoap, and other fun cereal related things. Check it out, and if you have a new treasury or cereal related things you'd like to share, leave a link in a comment on this post so I can check them out!

That's Sick

Hello, hello. This particular treasury was inspired by how I was feeling for a few days. I rarely get sick, but when I do, it's bad! I'm 100% better now, (my boyfriend, on the other hand, is not. See the Art Pendant - Girls Have Cooties by acageybee) though. That's Sick includes: a "wee birthday booger mini sculpture" by dancesippydance, "Chicken Noodle Soup Earrings" by BetsyEtsy, "Cold, Flu, and Allergy Breathe Easy" by
spirithorseherbals, and other boogery, snotty, cootie related things. Check it out!

Also, all prices in my shop have been marked down 15%.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

A Few Favorites Friday and A Shop Update

Hello!

Today's favorites -
Abstract Playground 4x6 fine art prints set of 5 by KendraJKantor

And the Shop Update - A couple of new things added to my shop this week! First is the Stretchy Chainmaille Cuff in Black and Silver. This cuff is great if you hate dealing with fussy clasps: just slip it on and the weave continues all the way around your wrist, uninterrupted.

Also new are the Tao Earrings in Red and Silver. Matching Tao Pendants should be up soon! Have a color combination you'd like to see them in? I'd love to hear your ideas!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend,
-Jana

Just Trashy

Hello! Today I was working with some poptabs (picture is of my sister modeling one of my poptab bags...interesting note: I nicknamed her Trash), and I started thinking about all the other cool things made with items that would have been trash if not saved by the great thinking of crafty minds. "I also haven't made a treasury in Treasury East," I thought to myself, and thus the Trashy Treasury was born. So many great things are featured: There's a bowl made of melted green army men by AmongTheZinnias, a colorful belt buckle made from a broken skateboard by alldeckdout, a bracelet made from a green vinyl measuring tape by undoneclothing, earrings made from recycled guitar strings by PluckingPendants (who has a whole shop of beautiful guitar string jewelry), and other neat upcycled goodness. So check out the treasury and all the awesome shops that are featured. If you have a trashy item, leave this post a comment with your link, I'd love to see it!
